Exhibition Booth
An exhibition booth concept for the University of Iowa 3D Design program inspired by the Voronoi diagram pattern. A Voronoi diagram is a concept in computational geometry and is based on the minimum distance needed to reach a landmark. Voronoi patterns, or similar variations, can be found on dragonfly wings, giraffe fur, and even in the way bubbles form when they pack together in groups. The angular polygons form a pattern similar to a honeycomb, creating niches to display small objects. Extruded sections of the Voronoi pattern create pedestals on the floor to display more small objects and furniture.
